  • Is the aluminium cup too hot to hold after you pour coffee?

No. This cup uses a double-wall construction designed to thermally isolate the liquid inside and reduce heat transfer to the exterior. As a result, it stays comfortable to hold while helping your coffee remain warm for longer.

  • Is aluminium safe for coffee?

Yes, it’s safe. Our cup is treated with a special food-grade anodisation, just like traditional Italian coffee machines many people use at home. It is 100% safe for drinks.

  • Can I use it for milk coffee or lattes? What is the capacity?

Yes. This cup was specifically designed for drinks such as Cortado, Piccolo Latte, Café Noisette, and Macchiato. Its 115 milliliter capacity offers the right balance between espresso and milk, while keeping a compact and comfortable format

  • How should I clean the cup?
    Just rinse it with water. Like traditional Italian coffee machines, do not use soap or a dishwasher. Don’t scrub it. Just rinse, dry, and it’s ready for the next coffee.

THE MANUFACTURE

We have overseen every step in the creation of this cortado cup, from the first sketches to the final assembly. Designed, prototyped, and produced entirely under our direction. Made from 6061 aluminium, the cup is fully machined using advanced CNC technology to ensure exceptional precision and consistency. Its double-wall construction is designed to reduce heat transfer and help keep coffee warm for longer during everyday use. The surface is then bead-blasted with a fine abrasive to achieve a soft, natural matte texture that feels smooth in the hand. A transparent anodisation is applied to protect the metal and guarantee it is food safe. Each piece is carefully assembled and checked by hand in our atelier in the south of France.

We are Javier and Anaïs, a French-Spanish couple with a shared passion for design and precision. After six years in the aerospace industry, we decided to apply that same level of rigor and curiosity to a new field: the design of everyday objects.
