This candle recreates one of the most peaceful and relaxing moments of the summer. This scent comes from a childhood memory when we used to take a nap in summer next to a fig tree. Warm and sweet aromas of the fig tree with a light earthy component. An aroma that every person having grown up in the Mediterranean will remember with nostalgia.
Our fragrances are french, made in Grasse in co-creation with an artisan perfumer Patrice Revillard. Each perfume is unique. It will inspire a memory, a journey, a moment of life.
We take care of every part of the candle creation process. From the design to the final assembly, including the manufacturing of the jars and the perfumes. Throughout our adventure we have developed a close collaboration with French, Spanish and Italian artisans to work with metal, porcelain and glass. The final assembly is made by hand, in our atelier in the south of France.
We are Javier and Anaïs, a French-Spanish couple who share not only life, but also a passion for design. After spending six years in the aerospace industry, where every detail counts, we decided to bring the same rigor to the world of candles. Thus UNAVELA was born. Tired of the monotony of traditional candles, we decided to use the knowledge we had to innovate in the world of candles, using for example aerospace aluminum, or revolutionary methods to make complex shapes in high temperature porcelain. The complexity of our products would be nothing without a perfume of the same quality. Patrice Revillard, a renowned Parisian perfumer, was in charge of designing the 7 perfumes that compose our range of candles, each of them inspired by a childhood memory. All this makes our candles objects that decorate, perfume and above all tell our story.
The Fig Leaf candle is made from top-quality materials, ensuring durability and optimal fragrance diffusion.
The jar is made of borosilicate glass, an elegant, heat-resistant material perfect for showcasing the dancing flame and fragrant wax. The wax is made from European rapeseed, renowned for its clean combustion. Finally, the wick is made of untreated cotton, for even combustion and no black smoke.
UNAVELA pays particular attention to the quality of its fragrances. The fragrances in Fig Leaf were developed in Grasse, the world capital of perfumery, by French perfumer Patrice Revillard.
The wax in Fig Leaves candles is 90% European rapeseed wax. Rapeseed wax burns cleanly, without releasing black smoke or harmful substances. What’s more, rapeseed wax is known for its long burn time, so you can enjoy your Fig Leaf candle for many hours.
Yes, all UNAVELA candles, including the Fig Leaf candle, are made and cast by hand in France. This artisanal process guarantees impeccable quality and attention to detail. Each candle is unique, the fruit of the craftsmen’s know-how and passion.
